TIMBERWeb, the world’s leading eMarket for timber, was today named in the Vision 100 – a unique list of the UK’s most visionary companies and organisations.

The eMarket was judged a winner by a panel that included Sir Peter Bonfield, CEO of British Telecom, and Peter Murray of the Cranfield School of Management. The judges had rejected nearly 2,000 businesses before deciding which ones were worthy of inclusion in the 100 list.

Vision 100 recognises organisations that have proven unique and exceptional vision in one of five key areas, ranging from leadership to supply chain management.

Mr Murray, chairman of the judging panel, said: “We are looking for clear evidence of ‘thinking outside the box’ and proof that the whole organisation is working towards a clear vision, which is bringing measurable benefits.”

TIMBERWeb was founded in 1997 and has attracted well over 600 members due to the quality of its services.
